Country Music's Biggest Stars Attend Premiere Networks' CMA Awards Radio Remote Broadcast
LOS ANGELES, November 10, 2011 -- Premiere Networks welcomed numerous stars to its official CMA Awards Radio Remote Broadcast leading up to "The 45th Annual CMA Awards." Live from Nashville, Taylor Swift, The Band Perry, Rascal Flatts, Vince Gill, Faith Hill, Martina McBride, Lady Antebellum, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, and many other Country Music stars visited nearly 50 of the top Country radio stations from across the nation. Participating stations included KKGO-Los Angeles, WXTU-Philadelphia, KYGO-Denver, WPOC-Baltimore, KNIX-Phoenix, KEEY-Minneapolis and WSIX-Nashville.
Premiere once again partnered with Polycom®, the global leader in standards-based unified communications (UC) solutions for telepresence, video and voice to utilize its cutting edge Polycom RealPresence solutions to record all remote broadcast interviews, and make them available for stations to download and post on their station's website. Country radio stations participating in Premiere's annual radio remote broadcast also leveraged Polycom's video and telepresence solutions to enable virtual participation in the remote broadcast from Nashville Nov. 6 - 8. This innovative technology allowed stations to interview Country Music's biggest stars via live video, thus minimizing on-site staff to a single representative.
In addition to the remote broadcast, Premiere's comprehensive CMA programming package also included the CMA Awards Preview, Red Carpet Reports andCMA Post Show. The CMA Awards Preview Special hosted by Lady Antebellum aired in advance of "The 45th Annual CMA Awards." The four-hour special featured music and interviews with leading Awards nominees. For the Red Carpet Reports, Premiere Networks personality Larry Morgan interviewed numerous celebrities and nominees. The CMA Post Show included round-up interviews conducted by Morgan and UMG Nashville recording artist Laura Bell Bundy with Award winners.
This is the 20th consecutive year that Premiere Networks has partnered with the Country Music Association to provide radio programming in conjunction with the CMA Awards. This year, Premiere's CMA
Awards programming reached 28.5 million listeners (Persons 12+) -- source: Arbitron Nationwide Spring 2011. Sponsors of the remote and/or radio package included OneMain Financial, Allstate, Advance Auto Parts, 5-Hour Energy and Green Mountain Coffee.
