AM570 FOX Sports LA Raises Nearly $100,000 During Fourth Annual Paralyzed Veterans of America Live Radiothon and Online Auction

LOS ANGELES, November 14, 2011 - AM570 FOX Sports LA raised nearly $100,000 during its fourth annual Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA) live, commercial-free radiothon and online auction on Wednesday, November 9. All proceeds from the seven-hour event hosted by the Loose Cannons and Petros & Money benefitted the PVA, an organization dedicated to providing rehabilitation and access to medical services, as well as continuing research to find a cure for spinal cord injury and disease.
Several athletes and celebrities participated in the radiothon at the station's Burbank, Calif., studios, including: Lakers legend James Worthy; NHL Hall of Famer and LA Kings President of Business Operations Luc Robitaille; model, TV personality and PVA supporter Leeann Tweeden; P90X creator Tony Horton; LA Lakers legend James Worthy; current Laker Shannon Brown; and comedian Adam Carolla. All of the celebrity guests appeared on-air during the radiothon, and also helped out answering phones in the call center.

Comedian Adam Carolla appeared on air with Petros & Money, and offered listeners the opportunity to meet him backstage at his "I Hate the Holidays" comedy show for a $500 PVA donation.
