LOS ANGELES, January 17, 2007 Premiere Radio Networks current Creative Director, Alan Wenkus, has been promoted to Vice President of Comedy and Prep Services. Based in Los Angeles, Wenkus reports to Senior Vice President of Network Programs and Services, Larry Morgan.

Managing the day-to-day operations of the comedy and prep department, Wenkus oversees a staff of writers and voice talent who develop topical comedy bits and morning show prep for about 700 stations.

"Alan has had a major impact on Premieres Comedy Services since their formative years by contributing great writing and original characters, as well as always being able to find a way to make just about anybody laugh, said Morgan. During his tenure, he has been instrumental in evolving the department. A creative and innovative manager, Alan will surely take Premieres Comedy and Prep to the next level. Also, hes a snappy dresser, plays guitar well, and has a lovely singing voice!"

Wenkus got his start in radio fresh out of college. While performing stand up comedy, he was hired by Stevens and Grdnic to work on the HOT 97 Morning Show in New York City. He wrote for the show and performed a variety of on-air characters while also helping to develop nationally syndicated comedy services that included "Radio Hotline" and the "Stevens and Grdnic Daily Comedy Exclusive." In 1990 Wenkus caught the attention of Tim Kelly, one of Premiere Radio's founding partners, and was recruited to launch the company's comedy services.

In addition to his radio experience, Wenkus has also written several screen plays, one of which starred Johnny Depp, for film companies such as Tri Star Pictures, New Line Pictures and Xenon Pictures.

Wenkus resides in Los Angeles.
