LOS ANGELES, February 5, 2007 On Friday, February 9, internationally syndicated radio host Delilah will tour the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, The Mologne House and The Fisher House in Washington, D.C., to visit some of the soldiers she met abroad and spend time with injured troops returning from the front lines. Delilah recently spent two weeks traveling with "Operation Season's Greetings," an all-star tour sponsored by the Air Force Reserve Command to entertain American service men and women overseas.
Delilah's affiliate 97.1 WASH-FM has also invited her to host their annual Valentine's Ball at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Washington D.C., on February 10. Attendees will get the chance to meet with Delilah as she serves as master of ceremonies. For more information about the event or to purchase tickets, please visit www.washfm.com.
Delilah commented, "I can't wait to spend time with my WASH listeners. They have been so supportive and loving since I hit the airwaves last year. And since Valentine's Day is my favorite holiday, being the sappy love song gal that I am, this is the perfect venue to get to know people and spend time with them."
WASH-FM Program Director, Bill Hess, commented, "We are excited to have Delilah with us to host this special evening of romance and to spend time greeting and re-acquainting herself with our troops, many of whom she met during her previous visit to Iraq."
Delilah is syndicated by Premiere Radio Networks in the evenings on nearly 250 radio stations. Her distinctive blend of story-telling, sympathetic listening and encouragement all scored with adult contemporary soft rock has earned her the "Oprah of Radio" moniker.
