Monday, February 9th 2009 Blair Garner Welcomes Country Artists Carrie Underwood, Jake Owen, Jamey Johnson and John Rich Prior to Grammy Awards
LOS ANGELES, February 9, 2009 - Premiere Radio host Blair Garner spent some time Sunday morning in his Los Angeles studio visiting with several Country artists prior to the 51st Annual Grammy Awards that night. Garner welcomed Carrie Underwood, Jake Owen and Jamey Johnson, who were all nominated for Grammy Awards, as well as John Rich.
Underwood discussed her nomination for "Best Female Country Vocal Performance," which she won later that evening, and the writing process for her next album.

Owen dropped by to talk about his "Best Country Collaboration with Vocals" nomination. During the interview, Garner surprised Owen with calls from Sugarland's Kristian Bush and Little Big Town's Karen Fairchild - who were nominated with Owen for their collaboration on Life In A Northern Town.

Johnson joined Garner to discuss his three Grammy Award nominations including "Best Country Album" for That Lonesome Song, and "Best Country Song" and "Best Male Country Vocal Performance" for In Color. He also discussed his upcoming tour with his idol, Willie Nelson.

Rich sat down with Garner to talk about what a whirl wind this past week has been with the release of his brand-new single Shuttin' Detroit Down. The song will appear on Rich's upcoming album, Son Of A Preacher Man, which will be released March 24. Rich also called Garner's program on Jan. 28 to debut the song with the radio host's audience.

On November 13, 1993, After MidNite aired for the first time on 12 stations. Word spread and within four months, more than 100 affiliates were on board. Today, the Country radio show is nationally syndicated by Premiere Radio Networks and can be heard on nearly 250 affiliates. In 2006, Garner added a second show, The Blair Garner Show, which can be heard seven days a week on approximately 40 affiliates.
