Network Radio Research Council Begins Ninth Year

New Officers Selected: Chair - Pamela Foster of Crystal Media Networks
Vice Chair - Paul Bronstein of Westwood One Radio Networks

(New York, February 23, 2009) - At its recent December 2008 meeting, the Network Radio Research Council (NRRC) announced the selection of Pamela Foster, Vice President/Director of Research at Crystal Media Networks, as Chair. Paul Bronstein, Vice President/Director of Research at Westwood One Radio Networks, will serve as Vice Chair.

The NRRC was created in 2001 to promote valid, reliable, and effective national radio audience measurement research. Its members include ABC Radio Networks, American Urban Radio Networks, Crystal Media Networks, Dial Global Inc, Premiere Radio Networks, United Stations Radio Networks, and Westwood One Radio Networks.

In 2008, the Council hosted multiple forums with Arbitron Inc. to discuss numerous ways to improve the measurement and reporting of national radio audiences, with a particular concentration on the emerging PPM technology. "We continue to work closely with the NRRC to deliver customer friendly national radio services, with special emphasis on RADAR, that are helpful to the industry," said Bruce Supovitz, Vice President of National Radio Services, Arbitron. "The NRRC provides us with a great forum to exchange ideas, especially now with PPM integrating into our national services, that will enhance our national radio measurements."

Other research companies, as well as industry organizations, have had an active relationship with the Network Radio Research Council. George Ivie, Executive Director/CEO of the Media Rating Council has been an invited observer to all NRRC meetings. "It has been a pleasure working with the NRRC since our missions are relatively aligned in seeking improvements and greater knowledge of network radio audience measurement," said Mr. Ivie. "We look forward to working with the new leadership of the NRRC in 2009."

If you need more information on the NRRC, please contact Pamela Foster at 212-922-1601, ext. 226 or Paul Bronstein at 212-641-2024.
