"Costas on the Radio" Preview - May 23, 2009

LOS ANGELES, May 22, 2009 - Tune in to Costas on the Radio this weekend to hear an interview with award-winning New York Times Columnist William C. Rhoden.

Rhoden authored Forty Million Dollar Slaves: The Rise, Fall, and Redemption of the Black Athlete and Third and a Mile: The Trials and Triumph of the Black Quarterback, and wrote the HBO documentaries Breaking the Huddle: The Integration of College Football and Journey of the African-American Athlete - for which he won a Peabody Award for Broadcasting.


Costas on the Radio is a two-hour weekend show hosted by Bob Costas and features conversations with newsmakers and significant figures from sports and other walks of life, as well as Costas' own commentaries and observations. The program is nationally syndicated by Premiere Radio Networks on more than 220 stations including KLAC/Los Angeles, KNBR/San Francisco, WEEI/Boston, WIOD/Miami, WPEN/Philadelphia, WTEM/Washington, D.C., and WDFN/Detroit.
