Elvis Duran Welcomes Jay-Z In-Studio

LOS ANGELES, September 9, 2009 - Elvis Duran And The Morning Show welcomed hip hop music artist Jay-Z to the NYC studio yesterday. He stopped by the show to promote the release of his 11th studio album, The Blueprint 3, as well as his upcoming 9-11 benefit concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Jay-Z also talked about the evolution of hip hop, his collaboration with Alicia Keys, and his relationship with radio. Elvis asked, "If Jay-Z had a radio station, what would be on that station?" Jay-Z responded, “Not one hit…the Grizzly Bears, then you'll hear Empire of the Sun, Drake, Kanye, Lil Wayne, and then you'll hear some strange Australian band you've never heard in your life. It's all about discovery. That's what music is all about."
