LOS ANGELES, August 24, 2010 - After announcing the additions of Pat O'Brien and Mike North, FOX Sports Radio is pleased to announce Philadelphia sports writer and talk radio host Anthony Gargano will join the network's national lineup.
"I'm ecstatic to join FOX Sports Radio's all-star team," Gargano says. "I feel honored to be heard in over 300 markets and on XM Satellite Radio while continuing to host my daily show on 610-WIP in Philadelphia. It's a wonderful privilege to wake up every day and talk about the games we love."

Gargano's midday show on SportsRadio 610-WIP in Philadelphia has been consistently among the highest-rated programs in the market since January 2000. He also hosts pre-game and post-game shows for the Philadelphia Eagles, as well as special programming for Super Bowl, the NFL Draft, World Series, the NBA and NHL playoffs and the NCAA Tournament. In addition, Gargano co-hosts the Charlie Manuel Show on 610-WIP.
Gargano is also a sports anchor and correspondent at FOX-29 TV in Philadelphia. His third book, NFL Unplugged: The Brutal, Brilliant World of Professional Football, which is a reality-based look at a player's life in the NFL, is due out nationally in September 2010. Gargano has covered sports for the Associated Press in Chicago, the New York Post and the Philadelphia Inquirer, specializing in in-depth features, projections, and national events coverage. He is currently a senior writer for AOLSports.com and a frequent contributor to several national magazines across the country.
